Have you looked at the Battle Field series? BF2 is good and if you buy it now you won't need to go through the pain of each patch they released... BF2142 runs on the same engine and is, surprise surprise, set in the future. Couple of small patches to date but nothing too painful. It's pretty much on-line play only but real good fun. If you wanna run around like a loon, you can. If you wanna sit back as a sniper and take things easy, you can. Would definitely recommend it. Have spent countless hours on it and still not bored! Will run on 1Gb RAM but prefers 2Gb. Any thing above a 2Ghz processor should be fine with a newish (1yr) graphics card. Worth a look.

Hi Cliff, I've tried BF2142, but to be honest I really can't get into those "Get stuck in and blat away" type online games. I like FPS's that have a few puzzles and things in.

Showing I know squat about modern pc games: thief deadly shadows Deus Ex 2 Deus Ex - got this for £1.99 and its huge! Loads of levels, weaponry and different ways to complete it Thief 2 - still quite entertaining and very long. Probably out there for £3.99 if you look. Also what about the slightly role playing based game everyone was banging on about ages ago? Obsidian or something?

Got Rainow 6 - Vega for christmas, though because of recent events I haven't played it yet. :( I went out and bought "Lego- Star Wars II" for the PS2, a fun game to cheer me up a bit and something I can do downstairs, meaning I don't have to leave Denise on her own for long. Might start a new thread for that because it certainly deserves it. thumbsup

Does Enemy Territory have a single player mode? When I had a look at it online it seemed to be only online play, which I can't get into, being killed every 2 minutes only to come back to love and do it all over again, a bit like Quake and Unreal Tournament.
