fps = frames per second (i.e 'like' refresh rate, can be related to ping and speed of a connection but more closely related to your GFX processor ability). A good example of a high rate of FPS can some time allow you to jump further, move faster, shoot quicker etc. A constant stable fps is better than achieving a high but unstable one. fps can also mean First Person Shooter (i.e. Wolfenstien, Doom, Far Cry etc) That help mate?

You will normaly only see this in referance to a game style. First Person Shooter

but as X8 CJN says it also relates to Frame Rate

Thanks for the explantion Actually this reminds me of the most boring conversation i ever had. I was trying to get a computing geek to design and build a bit of software for engine management. Rather into his online gaming, he went on to explain that he had developed a bit of software that managed to give him an advantage in the on-line game he was playing (that mostly involved shooting other players). Anyway, aparenlty it was able to make the other players monitor or graphics card miss a frame, and in that instance he could shoot them. I turned off about half way through the converstion, so i know nothing more than that. :sleepy:

Also known as a "Aim Bot" It means you can shoot randomly and your crosshair will automaticaly focus on their head and get an instant kill.

That boring enough for you!

Anyway just because you dont enjoy computer games there is no reason to poke fun at the people that do.

*edit* Oh and I will leave this topic open as it is actauly a little useful to potential gamers, the fact the comment was made in jest wont matter.... *edit*

I used it to exploit in clan games (Wolfenstien Enemy Territory, FPS though not aimbot). But true the talk of fps is boring. I need my car back so I can start talking in general discussion again.
