Got to thinking about the good old days and remembered my Amiga 500. We all had them back then. Did any of you guys? If you did what games did you really enjoy?

I always remember the epic intro vid to Shadow of the Beast (when the kid get stolen). I wonder if I watched that now how 'epic' it would be lol.

Coolspot, Cannon fodder, Sensible world of soccer, Zool, Shadow of the beast, Lemmings, Micromachines, Another World (scary as feck), kick off 2, Lotus Esprit turbo challenge, moonstone, Rainbow islands, Turican 2 but my all time favourite was IK+!!!

Flashback was my favourite at the time, really smooth graphics for it's time. But Cannon Fodder was absolutely briliant, I loved that game. thumbsup

Turrican 2 - Paradroid '90 or Moonstone thumbsup I have been playing some of these games recently via amiga emulator. They do seem pretty crap and are only fun for about 3 minutes of nostalgia. :(

Shep where did you get your kickstart rom from? Or did you have one still.....
Also with regards Moonstone... I remember shiting myself when moving through the map after 2 days when the dragon was getting about. That thing used to nail me so easy.

The thing with the dragon is that there is a spot just under his chin which is out of the range of his claws, and as long as kept swinging, he couldn't bite you. The thing with the skull head that came out of the swamp always scared the hell out me. it made a horrible noise! I never finished the game though, I had a dodgy copy that crashed after you had collected all the moonstones and gone to the middle Grrr. Anyway, yes, kickstart Rom. I (well google really) managed to find one to download. I'm sure you will too if you have a good look. :)

The old atari ST's were similar weren't they? If so I remember cannon fodder (played cannon fodder 2 on the pc - they kept going through time warps and finding themselves in caveman/medieval/spaceship zones!) Also addicted to lemmings although after a while it just became more fun to let them kill themselves in an unusual manner. Double Dragon? Brilliant fun with 2 players kicking arse and usually walloping each other. Ikari warriors - quite amusing in a rambo kind of way I'm a big fan of Snes9x for those that want a super nintendo emulator on their pc, and who want to play streetfighter 2....

Cannon Fodder was definitely one of my favourites, also not sure if it was on the Amiga (i had a 1200) or the spectrum or what it was on but i rememeber a game called Gauntlet or The Gauntlet, and Pitstop? both brilliant... i still have a working Specturm ZX28k up in my loft as well, can't remember any of the games from that though?!
