If its is still in warrantee (ie you didnt buy on release day) phone customer support, they will send you a pre paid box. And a couriour will pick it up, 2 or 3 days later they will drop off a nice referbed one. (not guaranteed to be your original one btw). problem solved. if it is outside of warantee, take it apart and give it a good dusting... (with compressed air canister btw not blowing in it)

when did you buy it? the reason I ask is that my one (which I've just sold) was a very early one, and it had the heatsink problem (they left a peel-off sticker on the thermal contact pad), and after a month or 2 it stopped working, flashing an error code. So I followed a guide on how to check and remove it, and sure enough, as soon as I removed it, it went back to working perfectly and still is.

We have had two dashboard updates in as many weeks. The last one has caused loads of problems.

Im on me 3rd box mate [and first name terms with Xbox live  ] All have suffered the same symptoms as yours. It has come to a point now that i can't even be bothered to use the new one, infact today was the first time i've logged on in months.

If you did the latest update from Microsoft thats another thing they have buggered... www.majornelson.com look at the comments alot of people having problems with Rainbow Six after the update.

At this rate Microsoft will have broken so much through updates the Xbox will become a nice paperweight. :9mm:
