Considering a suspension upgrade, just found out that KW Suspension also has a kit for our belowed VX220/Speedsters. Priced at EUR 1399 it is tempting to give it a try. However, searching for it on the Net I can't find any references to anyone who installed it on their car. Searching here and on the German forum just returns an error, so that doesn't help much either. I'm a little bit sceptic to the fact that you have to grind out the top damper support.

Any thoughts about these?

How do you find them?

Are they mainly for trackuse?

What are they like compared to Nitrons/Öhlins?

How long is a piece of string?

Well, KW states EUR 1399 on their site so that should give you an indication about price range. KW are quite big as manufacturers, so I guess that they can make good things if they want to. Reading reviews on the Net from other marques, people seems to be quite happywith their KW kits. What I really couldn't figure out was what variant the VX220/Speedster kit is. They have Variant 1-3, with different levels of adjustment possibilities.

Apart from these, I'm tempted by Öhlins. People seems quite happy with them, and it's easier to get them serviced here in Sweden than Nitrons. At least I haven't found anyone in Sweden that are dealing with Nitrons.

I've had these fitted at TMS - havent actually put many miles on them as been away for most of this year! I am no expert but they seem decent quality - I havent attempted to adjust them yet. I have done 1 track day in them and they did seem to make a significant difference - must stiffer and progressive than standard. In my uneducated view they make the car seem much faster - or more specifically you feel able to drive it faster! My car is presently with JT so maybe he will get the opportunity to stick some miles on them for a more informed opinion. I will give more feed back when I have time and have put more miles on them!

I ended up with Nitron 1-way as a start. Will be running on these for 2007 at least, together with Eibach springs and an uprated ARB (from Elise-Shop). Seems to be an ok setup for track days and such, and will still be able to drive to the office now and then (some nice back roads there). Hope that JawZ goes for KW so that we can compare :D

I Have my mind set on either Nitrons or the uprated version of SPAX which the Badster uses. will have to decide that later on after I've been in a car with Nitrons as well
