Not ordered one yet, but considering it... I'm going to LA next week, and pondering whether I can get one out there any cheaper. Anyone know if it'll work here? Any complications?

it should definitely work for games as all ps3 games are region free but don't think it will work if you attempt to play blu ray dvd's over here or standard ones, if they are from this region (but it would play USA region) if that makes any sense?! thats the main reason i'm waiting for the european release, and also any bugs should of hopefully been ironed out by then HTH

should be region free, but u will need a stepdown convertor and a tv that supports ntsc and pal i think...

Its the power conversion that will be a bit of a hedache but once you have got past that the only region encoding is for DVD and Blue Ray, although i have heard that the first few 360 HD DVD Drives that are about are region free....
