Premium usually about 10% of the value of the car - minimum £100,So on an NA worth (on a good day) perhaps £10k I'd be looking at paying £1000 for a single track day?
Surely not?
Sorry, i meant 1%

they have now started to insure vx220's as well..
* FREE track day insurance on club run days
* European circuits are covered - with the exception of the ring.
* Excess on track days run by a club you are a member of is the same as road excess.
* Insurance will be available for other TDO's days subject to review on an individual basis and an additional charge.
* Modifications and engine conversions are fine but should be specified up front.
However, rather than waste your time ringing them for quotes they do require a couple of things:-
1. You are OVER 28 years old
2. You have owned the vehicle or a similar type of vehicle for 12 months
contact is Andrew Seekings on 0121 246 6067
if just day cover then it's CCI (who are superb) or http://www.moris.co.uk/

thanks. Yep, until renewal time it will only be for day cover. I've already emailed CCI but I'll try morris as well

TBH I probably won't bother unless I do change my car (and I'm still undecided on that front). That moonland VXR is mighty tempting, as is that stg 2, nitroned silver VXT for £14k and so is a 996, and then there are S2 Exiges for less than £20k now.....

In case anyone else is interested I just got a quote back from Morris. For a single TD at Bedford, NA, valued at £10k
Premium £85 (xs £750)
I must admit that I'd don't think that's too bad, and whilst I won't take it out for Bedford for a more "risky" track I'd certainly consider it.
Oh and they also reduce the premium by 5% for each subsequent TD for up to 5 TD's and with a minimum policy of £70.
That is quite cheap, and quite a low xs compared to others. Might have to give them a go next time.
