Want to change some of my bulbs, and halfrauds dont have a bulb code list for the VX Can anyone correct me here: Dipped beams: H1 Full Beams: H7 Side lights: BA9s/233/T4W Front indicators: 382 Front fogs: Side indicators 501(???) Brake and Tail light 380 Reverse 382 Rear Fog 382 Rear indicator 382 Thanks

Can anyone confirm that the above is all correct as I need to purchase some rear bulbs. (well want to get the led versions) Thanks

I have the leds bulbs and the brake/tail blubs are 380 (or 1157 outside of uk) if thats what your after.

Can anyone confirm the above as this is an excerpt from the lucas catalogue and its different.

I would normally go with the book, but as its a VX220 I would to prefer to go with someone whose replaced them before!!!

Comparison between Wiki and research here gives confirmed bulb codes as:

dip = 448 (H1)
side = 233
indicator (side repeater) = 501
indicator (f) = 581 *
indicator ® = 581 *
brake / tail = 380
reverse = 382

Discrepencies are:

full = H7 / 472 **
fog ® = 382 ***


* 581 is orange tinted

** Confusion because 472 is H4 and H7 is 499, pretty sure full beam is not H4!

*** 382 is most likely as this is in the same (opposite side) position as reverse bulb

Finally, Lucas should know what they are on about, I am just a little surprised there is confusion on full beam bulb codes... Lots of threads on 220.org mention H7 so I am convinced that it is H7 / 499.

And has anyone changed their rear fog bulb? Was it a 382 as suspected?


So in summary this suggests:

dip = 448 (H1)
full = 499 (H7)
side = 233
indicator (side repeater) = 501
indicator (f) = 581
indicator ® = 581
brake / tail = 380
reverse = 382
fog ® = 382

When I get confirmation I will update the Wiki.
