Haaa haaa haaaa
I'm pretty sure the last of the Nazis had either fled to South America or been hanged long before the VX rolled off of the production line. Maybe that's why they were so uppity?
????????? not sure where you are going with that one...???

Look l14mha - I presume you mean the famous North Loop or Nordschleife, this is at a place called Nürburg, or 'Nuerburg' sometimes spelt to deal with the umlaut.
Thus the circuit at that town is the Nürburgring.
Nurnberg (or Nurenburg?) is a completely different place where the second world war crimes tribunals took place IIRC.
It's like getting Donington mixed up with Darlington

However, while on this topic, there's a really nice desktop wallpaper on the magazine AutoMotorSport home page right now, see >LINK< describing the old track as it used to be a long time ago. It includes the obsolete south part as well.

About right - it was Nuremburg (but it is Nürnberg in German). I wince every time someone mentions it when they mean Nürburg.
"I'm off to Nuremburg with some mates"
"Are you a Nazi supporter?"

Found this "8:34 --- 144.280 km/h -- Opel Speedster Turbo, 220 PS (sport auto 04/04)" via >LINK<
That was Horst Van Saurma, in an unmodded VXT.
I think our very own R1NUR has comfortably eclipsed that time in a modded VXT?
The 8.34 is for a full lap. Tourist driving is usually timed Bridge-to-Gantry (BTG) as start/finnish is on the long straight. von Saurma's BTG time would be appr. 8.05 - 8.10
