It's loose in my engine bay (2.2 NA) looks important but cant see where it belongs. It has a yellow stripe down the cable sleeve with a sticker saying P6C on it. Had a VSE fitted recently and wondered if something has become disconnected. Any advice much appreciated.

It's the connector for the second lambda sensor.

The second sensor is defo plugged in to a similar connector further left in the towards the inside of the the clam. if disconect this and put it in the yellow striped connector this will leave the other connector not hooked up to anything, which begs the question what is this one for, it obviously has the same kind of connection? I guess luna we must have mixed them up for some reason in our extreme nithered state :poke:

one oval 4-pin single row connector with 2 brown and 2 back wires are for the second lambda.
(the first lambda connects to a 4-pin dubble row connector)
in this picture:

you can see the wire for the second lambda running on the rear subframe above the upper wishbone. and connect to the loom via that bundle of connectors

secondary lambda, wire colours are Rd/Blk-Brn/Rd-Blk/Rd-Brn/O tis pretty hard to mix anything up theres a really short section of loom there, just checked my engine bay, theres no connector like that in my loom anywhere (theres very few that shape anyway) 1st lamda is a square connector Im guessing this odd connector is redundant, anyone else got a engine in their n/a that wants to go check ? theres a lid that pops open, youll find the engine in there somewhere :P

it's easy to find that plug with the rear clam off

yes, it is the second lambda sensor plug - the sensor after the cat thumbsup

The second sensor is defo plugged in to a similar connector further left in the towards the inside of the the clam. if disconect this and put it in the yellow striped connector this will leave the other connector not hooked up to anything, which begs the question what is this one for, it obviously has the same kind of connection?

quite correct, there is another plug on the chassis, next to the rear left wheel, this loom is very short and on mine is spare thumbsup

im confused now, my second lambda plugs into the short loom, im sure cos theres a big tie wrap there where i put it, are there different looms for different years ?

ill take a pic

but ive no wire with that label on anywhere

My lambda was attached to where the white tiewrap is,
oh well only way to find out i guess is to swap them around ?
(hope i know where all this wire goes then!!!)

Thanks guys this is starting to become much clearer, I've now swapped the sockets over and reset the ecu to clear any error codes that where cropping up via the obd port & using scantool.net (I was getting PO141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)). I'll run it for a few days and see if the errors come back,

however just to clear things up I attach a few more photos

This one shows the yellow stripe cable now connected to the second O2 sensor, but shot at angle so you can see other spare socket now left empty above the left wheel arch.

this is a close up showing the cable colours of the now spare socket....

this is a close up showing the cable colours of the yellow striped P6C labeled socket now with the second 02 sensor plugged in....

Both these sockets are the exact same connection and the sensor fits in both.

heres what scantool threw up before I swapped the cables...

Strange that, I wonder if there was some cabling changes in the 03 onwards Na's.
