I'm looking for some polish that would remove the swirl marks in my Calypso Red NA. Does anyone have any recommendations?

People recommend using Meguiars Scratch X, and then polishing on top. I've never used it, but it seems like a number of people have got good results.

Having had the car recently resprayed by Vauxhall for paint bubbling, it came back without swirls, and since then I've used Meguiars NXT generation Tech wax, and it's excellent. Goes on and buffs off very easily, and gives great results. Only takes about 10 to 15 mins to wax the whole car! The tip is to get their proper applicator pads and microfibre cloths, as it makes all the difference!

meguiars tech wax does a good job of masking swirls if your doing it by hand (contains fillers) but it wont totally remove them.

Only thing that really removes them is a mechanical polish IMHO

Try turtle wax colour magic, they do a red one , the black one works ok on my VXT , almost gives it a 'wetlook' finnish .

I have 2, i either use meguiers (spelling?) NXT generation, but sometimes that leaves oily looking swilrs on black cars, but really does give the car a deeper shine, or auto glym, which is also quite good.

Give Gaz7 off here an email or have a look through his site (link in my sig)

we'll be spending some time doing mine soon to try and get rid of the minor swirls in the paint. I mainly use a lot of PoorBoys products which are pretty good & very easy to work with topped off with Collinite No. 915 Marque D’Elegance wax which is hard as fook and makes water bead up lovely.

I use Poorboys but I could really do with my car being detailed properly as all I'm doing is filling in the swirls and minor scratches. Any recommendations for a good detailer in the Midlands.... I had a look at a few of the detailing forums but just thought a referral from someone here would be better.

Think I'll take up the 3 for 2 offer. Super resin polish & top coat sealer are pretty good for lighter colours like silver & yellow. What colour you've got makes a big difference. Darker colours benefit from meguirs type stuff IMHO.

The new 'nanotech' type car polish is made not to make the water bead as this leaves a residue when the bead dries , instead it should flow of in more of a sheet affect.

that would all depend on the particular panel and at what angle the panel was though, if its flat when wet the water will still bead up. Gravity is a wonderful thing but its not magic ;)

Also after using Poorboys, Chemical Guys & Collonite products i can happily say id never use AutoGlymm stuff again tbh.

I use Autoglym Super resin and extra gloss protection on my black vxt. Looks very shiny once done thumbsup Autoglym have just released some other polish called Deep Shine something, might give it a go.

i used to predominately use a lot of AG products, but got so pissed off with the residue it leaves on mouldings and the fact that once its touched them it buggers them for good :( plus it can be an arse to get off properly without any hazing/holograming (even more so on a black car!)
