You certainly do like to polish streetboy!!! I bet you're all worn out ;) Surprised nobody has snapped it up yet. Perhaps its the time of year. 5 months ago I would have had the deposit down in a flash...I got Silver in the end. Anybody looking for nearly new would be silly to pass it up I reckon...so it can only be a matter of time. Good Luck to you and the lucky next owner!

I would almost argue that a tracked VX 220 is even better looked after and more sorted than one that has only seen road use. If the car felt or had any niggles it the limit one of the few places to find them would be the track. Also the engine is so un-stressed on the road that it would probably get out and thank you itself for letting it play on a race track. :D YOU WOULD BE SILLY TO LET THIS GO, IT IS A NICE CAR.

Have to agree, a few track days wont do a VX any harm, and to be honest I think its great that streetboy is being honest about this, I guarantee that most VX type cars have seen a track at some time and the owner would swear blind its had one little old lady previous owner. That is a blindingly good offer this car is worth £18995

Streetboy, how many track laps has this car done?

God knows! 75? 100? I didn’t count. But I would estimate that 2% of it’s total mileage was on track. Not a lot really is it?

And I reiterate VEX’s point – in general, tracked cars are better driven and better serviced than non tracked cars. Their owners understand the importance of letting things warm up and cool down. And any potential problems are rectified quickly. On and off the track.

If it wasn’t for track experience, we wouldn’t have a fix for the gearbox breather pipe; we wouldn't have a 'how to' for the ABS switch; and we wouldn't be using our cars to their full potential.

NOW BUY MY CAR! It’s a feckin bargain!

When i 1st went to Donnington to see a few VX's on a track day i expected to see racing, bumps, cars thraped to within a inch of there life - it isnt like that! Everone is an enthusiast, loves there cars and take great pride and joy over them. They also realise that its impossible to enjoy there cars legally on the road. The car only really wears out pads and tyres on the track, the oils/water etc are all at optimum working temp. £16750 is dirt cheap even wayne says he'd put it up at 19000. And its still got 2 1/2 years vauxhall warrenty! The only real reason Street is selling is that he's :- 1) had a good week at work and 2) (most likely) his bird got a faster car than him!!! poof "whoever" buys it will get a very well looked after bargain motor :)

A guy has just been to view my car (no-one from this site). He's offered me £18k for it! But he hasn't left a deposit so I wont hold it for him. If you're interested in this car and you can get here first, I'll still let it go for £16,750. This car is worth much more money folks.

I'm tempted by the Milltek. Is it a full system? Also what did it do to your insurance? I'm sure they can't screw me for much more anyway but I'd still like to know!

Sorry I'm going to have to withdraw on this one, I was wrong about the insurance unfortunately. They wanted an additional £600 on top of the £4.5k I just gave them.....

THE VIPER IS STILL FOR SALE.

r1chard748’s insurance company wont let him mod (bastards) so he can’t fit the filter.

Does anybody else want it? It’s brand new in the box. I’ll even fit it for you if you pick it up from my house.

And don’t forget that the disks are still available for just £190. ;)
