What are the symptoms? Do you get lights on dash and headlight beams? Does the starter motor click once then die? Or do you get nada?Has a flat battery on my speedster after the winter and have tried to charge it using a cheap charger.. Still dead as hell..
Is it ok to jump start the car since there seems to be a lot of different comments on this...
There are like 1 week delivery time on a new battery and i want my car now
Have you tried a different charger borrowed from a mate? Perhaps your cheap charger is crap / broke? I would try a different charger first before swapping out the battery as doing this is apparently a right PITA.
Jump starting - I haven't tried it myself and probably wouldn't do either as I don't want to take the risk. Whereas I've never had a problem with charging the battery in the car.
Some people have had problems jump starting and some haven't. I think the VX manual specifically suggests that you don't do it (someone would need to check to confirm this).

Give it a good 6 hours+ of charging, a couple of hours never seems to be quite enough.Has a flat battery on my speedster after the winter and have tried to charge it using a cheap charger.. Still dead as hell..
Ben
P.S. Perhaps the immobiliser is on? What are your symptoms?

If you left it connected I would suspect it's dead, if you are leaving the car for a while best to disconnect even if leaving battery in situ, as connected will still drain from any alarm systems etc....I have been told that once a battery drops below a certain charge they will no longer hold any form of decent charge.
Treat it to a new one for summer
