 i currently run a LG 42 inch hd plasma with a hd dvd surround sound system that was all together in a package. when connected to my ps3 using the normal av cable that was included in the ps3 package , the surround sound works fine as it also does with dvds , cable, just normal tv etc.. , Once ps3 is connected using my hdmi cable , the graphics are stunning , but cannot get anything coming through the surround sound ?? just sound coming the tv which is just nicam stereo . tried selecting aux/tv input on dvd player. Please anyone trying to help , keep the answers simple cos im a tv/audio numpty anyone any ideas ??

Wot he sed....

If you use HDMI that takes the image and audio but straight to the TV, you will need to use the optical out from the PS3 directly in to your surround sound, another cable im afraid but the sound quality should be equaly stunning then.....
