Imnotworthy The article says it is 'Scorpaenopsis papuensis' which is a Scorpion Fish (apparently), and Google tells me that a Stone Fish is a type of Scorpion Fish

Scorpion fish, stonefish, tomato, tomatoe....

some people even call them Devils scorpions, all i know is don't ever put your hand down without looking first luv! :D

Beautifully ugly looking creatures though, there camo is fantastic, chameleons of the sea.

Edited to say: actually thinking about it, Scorpion fish that certainly is! If it actually was a stone fish you wouldn't be able to see the bugger lol!

plus Scorpions are pretty harmless, where as a stone fish could kill you...

What. The fuck

That makes my blood boil

As an aside, I have always wondered this. How can someone claim to support our soldiers yada yada, yet admire - nay glorify - the tools of war? Or do you just have this whole romantic notion of war, and generally killing things?

What a bizarre response to a piece of history!

I don't claim to support our current and ex soldiers, I simply do it as a voluntary Caseworker for the Royal British Legion.

Got an 'Explore' (pedlars of adventure holidays) brochure in with The Times today, and the front cover has this photo:

I was reminded that there was an identical photo on here, and wondered if it had been used for the brochure. I thought perhaps not, because I figured I'd remember the giraffe  but I had to check:
