Guys,

I find myself back on here, but this time not selling my own, but on behalf of a friend, who is not a forum user!

Firstly i have to say, whilst i am posting that it is for sale i wish it wasn't as if our Discovery was paid off i would have it now, sadly about 4 months too early! This car is mint...and being an ex car salesman for Merc, i hate using that but it is true. A well loved car.

DOR Aug-2001, Y reg. MOT Aug-2007, just under 14,000 miles, taxed to end Feb-2008, drivers airbag, ABS, floor mats, passenger foot rest, tan leather trim, radio CD, Vauxhall sports exhaust (original available), uprated ventilated disc brakes with fast road use pads and red calipers, new rear tyres, pre-cat removed, Full Vauxhall Service History, always garaged, gleaming black, immaculate.

Best offer over £10,000 secures .......and again, another cliche, but first to get their ass up to Scotland will buy !!!

Chaps, I am in all of this evening on 01382 540236, or on my mobile 07887 923343. I am however not spending the evening on the forum - so any questions - dgm_hay @hot mail. com (put it all together and leave the underscore!)

Cheers,

Dave

I want this car  Will you stick a post on here if this car gets sold. I would have it this second if I had the money sitting here. Might take me a couple of weeks to sort out the finance but if it's still available then I'll be on the first flight over. Does it drive as well as it looks? Taken to many track days?

No Trackdays i might add, still on standard Potenza's, albeit new tyres i believe.

Great Price for such low milage!! IMO put it on ebay starting at £500.00 with no reserve, you will get closer to (if not more than £11k). If you start the auction at £9000+ you will probably not get any bids until last minute. Low start price with no reserve = lots of bids + £££££ :D

How long has your friend owned the car? Has it had all recalls done? Any idea's why it has so little milage? Do you know if it is HPI clear or any damage whatsoever? Where abouts in scotland are you?

No mate, i meant £500 :D After two days i would assume the bids would be up to about £7000 anyway, but you get much more bids starting at a stupidly low price. Even a couple of grand as a start price will only get afew bids.

As you can tell im a bit on an ebay geek, ive bought and sold cars on ebay before and this works every time. Ive also bought things for say £50 advertised with 1 picture and 1 line of text, decided i didnt like it and relisted it myself straight away and more than doubled my money (just by writing afew more lines and adding more pics, and starting at £1.)

To be honest mate, i am dying to get back into a VX/Lotus, now work minutes from work in Fife, so no long commute from EDI to Dundee! The Disco i would like to sell, as it is a tank!

I think the car is provisionnaly sold - just waiting to hear back tonight, my feckin phone has not stopped! Boss less than impressed. Guy coming to see it tonight, the car is based in Edinburgh or just outside, i believe it has had the recalls done, albeit will confirm. The car has not been driven due to his wife i believe not allowing him out enough!!!!! She wants the garage back, so he is having to sell his pride and joy!

Cheers,

Dave
