I managed to get a 99.9% completion statistic for GT3, with only the complex string circuit in the timed mode thingy to complete to get 100% (given-up trying now though) :) Has anyone ever completed it to 100%?

Gosh...'alot' doesn't even begin to cover it :) It of course helps to be an insomniac with a compulsive disorder  :beat: But the plan in all my games (from GT3 to Oni) is complete them 100%, gain everything possible (i rerun every game on the hardest mode to know that i couldn't do any better.) Edit. Oh and the good thing with trying for such a high % is that the lack of damage to the car is irrelivent as any mistake whatsoever means you'll be trying it again thumbsup

Impressive Imnotworthy I've not had GT running for ages... well over 18 months, as my PS2 hasn't been on since I got my Xbox360, so I've no idea how % completed I am, but it'll be nowhere at all near that.

:) chinky chinky john. I plugged mine in late last night (to have another fruitless attempt at that complex string) and can feel myself getting all 'addicted' to finishing it again (that extra 1% is so so hard) :beat:

Hey icey, how you doin mate, good to see you regularly posting again. I completed GT3 to 100% B) , took a bl00dy long time though, I spent a couple of months really caining it before GT4 came out, I've done 65'ish% os GT4 now, but the 24hr endurance races spoil it for me, I don;t have the time or inclination to spend that length of time on the PS2, even at 3x speed in B-Spec it would still take about 9 hrs with pit stops and stuff, unfortunately you need to do the nurburgring 24hr to get the F1 car which is a shame. :beat: Glad to see you're well mate, I'll be starting a new thread soon, which will make you smile!!

Hey icey,
how you doin mate, good to see you regularly posting again.

Hello Sir :) Thank-You very much, it is nice to be back :grouphug:

I'm good thanks. Managing to get important things sorted now, hoping to have the business up and running within the next few weeks and have broken the back of getting the new house looking better. :) As with all things it's steps at a time but i'm getting there :) thumbsup chinky chinky

Wow 100%...that complex string has me pulling my hair out (good job there's alot of it) I'll just have to keep trying i suppose (competative little hound i am)

I bought the GT4 the day it was released but apart from a few nights, i'v not really been able to get into it (blamming it on burn-out from the GT3)

Nice to hear from you again Ash :)

Well, you kept that one quiet! :P

Don't remember you joining in with the Nürburgring best times in a VX competion we ran

I don't think played GT3 after I got GT4. I know I'd done loads of it and was able to transfer oodles of credits to GT4 :tt:

Do you use a wheel, Icey? I upgraded from the Logitech Driving Force to the Driving Force Pro when I built my "Speedster cockpit" – the 900° is great rallly

I've recently got the G25 which will be incorporated into my current project ;)

The graphics in GT4 are so much better than GT3 – that made it more interesting too

Well, you kept that one quiet! :P

I joined in the initual excitement (and thread) and rush to the tills with my hard earned in hand. Probably more due to getting caught up in the moment here, rather than i real want to play it (gosh i'm such a sheep  )

Don't remember you joining in with the Nürburgring best times in a VX competion we ran

No, i decided that there just wasn't enough hours in the day to work, post on the forum and play GT4, so i'm afraid GT4 lost out.

I don't think played GT3 after I got GT4. I know I'd done loads of it and was able to transfer oodles of credits to GT4 :tt:

Oh, i didn't kow that that could be done chinky chinky :)

Do you use a wheel, Icey?

No, i just use the standard hand held pad but would love to try the wheel and pedals ect. B)

I upgraded from the Logitech Driving Force to the Driving Force Pro when I built my "Speedster cockpit" – the 900° is great rallly

ahhh, thank you for the pointer. When/if i ever get around to setting up a wheel, then i know which to go for now B) chinky chinky Imnotworthy :D

Wow...that sounds excellent. I must admit that i thought the graphics on GT3 were hard to distinguish from the real thing in places and, as you say, GT4 was a step-up from even that, so GT HD on the PS3 sounds absolutely fantastic Imnotworthy Imnotworthy

I pulled out of the race to have to most up-to-date equiptment, as there is always something else on the horizon to tempt me, so i decided that PS2 was of a high enough standard to stick at thumbsup

Andy,
I knew there were 2 F1 style cars in GT3, are there 2 in GT4 as well? If so, which race do you need to do to win the second one? I know to win one you have to complete the Nurburgring 24hr touring car race, but what about the second car if there is one in GT4?

SpeedyK,
I've seen a video of GT5 running on PS3 hardware from about 2 years ago and that was impressive, I don't even have an HD TV yet thouh and I certainly won't pay the huge figure for a PS3 yet. Maybe in a couple of years I will.
