I must have driven 100's of miles this afternoon, well, I've driven about 60 miles in real life, but 100's in the virtual world

Does anyone else either play GTR2 or have a Logitech G25 steering wheel/pedals?

Absolutely loving it at the moment, would definately reccomend it :)

I do, but then you know that :D

Have you tried LFS yet? There's a cut-down free version that still lets you play online, although it only gives you one track and 3 crappy cars. I'd seriously recommend it though - if you like GTR2 I can't see how you'd fail to love LFS.

LFS is cool, just wish that they implement proper clutch with stalling engine and eventually better gfx.
NetKar Pro is other nice sim with free demo and online play, although its community is WAY smaller than LFS.

Yeah, the LFS clutch behaviour is a little weird - it also seems to cache gearchanges, so you can change gear from 3rd to 2nd, and it'll stay in 3rd quite happily until you dip the clutch, which can be several seconds later. I much prefer the handling of the LFS cars to the GTR2 cars though (although I much prefer GPL to either of them, so I'm probably a freak :D)

to alot of people lfs will come across as too hard, but for those of you who played GPL will know that its a doddle lol i bought a G25 about 2 days after they were released and i must say its a lovley peice of kit! if anyone is into LFS i was in the STCC league and was winning, then then shut it down lol

I've got a G25, but not actually used it to date, as it is part of an as yet incomplete project. Really looking forward to taking it for a "drive" – even if that's only with GT4 at the mo.
