Just sent my dash away to be flocked  Has anyone had it done on the vx? Ive been told it reduces glare even better than alcantra style finishes

Wow! That looks loads like my mates wallpaper, which, quite honestly, scares the sh*t out of me ever since taking mushrooms at his house. It started moving see....

Anyway - is the Lotus interior flocked? I noticed its all felt inside. It looks nice, loads better than the VX interior. I fancy getting it done (right after Iv fixed ever other damn thing wrong with the car!!!)

That website helps to explain things :) How much do they charge for a dash? It doesn't mention whether the finish is UV stable tho  Do you know of any in the Midlands/Oxfordshire/Berkshire area by any chance - google/yell aren't helping

CBC are in Banbury, they have a very good rep among the RS mk1 & mk2 lads. Not extortinately priced either! thumbsup

only trouble with flocking/alcantara on the dash is you have to hoover it to get the crap off rather than wipe & also just about everybody that gets in the car goes "ooooh" and touches it......

Cheers mate thumbsup

I found their site just after the post above - Didn't realise it was that expensive tho - £125+vat for a 'normal' dash

I'm going to email them to get an idea of price for dash, pod, door cards and dash trim plates when I can find a decent photo to show them :)

I'll factor in the price of one of those hand-held vacs too!

(might get my spare NA wheels powder coated black whilst I'm at it  )

i would imagine for one of our dash boards it'd be in th £80 to £100 mark i suppose. Their turn around is pretty quick but i think SFS is a bit cheaper

Iam paying under £100 for my dash/cards/console and the little handle guard thingies( + the price of a new starter button due to my heavy handed removal :) At that price if any of the bits look sh*t i can strip them down and have it recovered or painted again thumbsup

I have seen a few cars with this done and thought it looked B) If you don't mind me asking how much is it costing ? I have been thinking of Alcantara for a long time but have never got round to it

I was thinking alacantra too, not sure which would look better or last longer??

I was inspired by Steven Flappy who if I remember correctly had the dash and stack pod in red alacantra

(Also what will either look like if the car leaks, which it does sometimes?)

Even though some will consider it pricey I think M8VXL's site do alacantra dash's and doorcards.
What I liked was that in some instances they do exchange or swaps so the car is not off the road too long!
