My desktop turned into this yesterday :(

Managed to restart in safe mode and it was ok but when i restarted in normal mode it was still the same.
Left it off overnight and its come back on ok, does it sound like a hardware problem, maybe overheating?
Fitted some used RAM from Ebay a few weeks ago, could it be that?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

I'd take the new RAM out first and see if that cures it. Failing that it could be the graphics card on the way out. :(

Have you overclocked your GFX card? Similar thing happened to me when I overclocked a GX card to high and it fried. Also check the cables from the GFX card to the back of the monitor. Open the case, take the card out and put it back in again, also check that your new RAM is seated correctly too.
