Hey...he's a beauty. My mother has king charles cavaliers too. She always had two or three so they could keep eachother company but is down to one now. She says her bad health stops her from having more, she can't walk herself, let alone a couple of dogs. They are an amazingly loving breed though Imnotworthy

My mother was a vetrinary nurse for many years and whenever anyone came in to have their animal put down, as long as the animal wasn't suffering she would always bring them home with her instead. I was raised in a household of strange pets all suffering from one aliement or another, we had blind dogs, one with three legs and all sorts of other 'abnormal' pets. All lived to ripe old ages, just goes to show what a bit of extra loving and care can do thumbsup

Someone please explain the 'thing' with cats I just don't get it!?

thumbsup I'd be happy to (try to) explain anything you want but you'd have to ellaborate on your question alittle first. I'm not too sure just what the question is

I'm sorry, but this could be quite epic...

lmfao thats an awesome shot!!! his eye looks proper bizzar thumbsup

 That they do thumbsup B) I bet he's a real charactor :)

no pets yet, the bird has a goldfish that is about 5-6 years old, but im not a fan.
Want a choccy lab or something cool like that

As a child, we used to have a liver coloured german shorthaired pointer. Beautifully loyal and intelligent animals but then all 'working' dogs are i suppose thumbsup

Here are my two cats, no special breeds here but much loved anyway :D

Speacial to you, that's all that matters and counts, not some silly pedigree paper collecting dust in a draw somewhere :)

Marmalade who is about 17 and the mother of Flapjack

Awww..what a lovely pair. You've really caught their 'essence' in their eyes there

{snip!}

Awww, flapjack is really cute! :D

I love! the greys  Imnotworthy ..When i was a child, our next door neighbour (god rest his soul) had a grey that was always immitating our squeeky garden gate, it was so annoying thinking that someone was coming all the time though...especially when you were up to your elbows in the cookie jar  it was real 'panic stations' :o ;)

He used to repeat the elderly couples arguments too, so funny to hear him, i bet the wife was hiding inside mortified..no wonder i hardly ever saw her (a lovely couple though, i used to call them gran and grandad even though they weren't. They just don't make um like that anymore :( :grouphug: )

Actually, Fabrice, I had a similar pet. We tried to get him to quit smoking but, after a day or so, he'd get all crabby.

(We're hoping the new smoking ban will help him give up the evil weed thumbsup )

He'll be 7 months old on 15th July.
We named him after the Sheppard Turpin ENfiled.
He was nearly called Bren after the Bren, but being as nearly all boxers have human names (and Bren is one) I came up with Sten instead! :D

Elaine, I don't see how Sten can only be 7 months old when the bedlinen in this photo clearly shows that it was taken in the 80s!

He is absolutely adorable though

Hehe, I might have not been entirely honest. He wasn't really my pet ;)

And, funnily enough, that photo was actually taken on holiday... in Normandy! Crazy French crabs trying to steal our cigarettes :P

Some pics of my 9 1/2 year old Boxer Jasmine. :) She is the most amazing companion I have had in my life. It saddens me to see her so tired all the time now she is getting on, Boxer owners will know how bouncy and energetic they can be. I have had her since moving out of my parents house and buying my own place, she has been the most constant thing in my life over the years. It sounds strange but she has been there for me through some tough times, a divorce, losing a close family member in a car accident but she always seems to keep me smiling inside. :D

After the sad loss of our little girl Trixie aged 12 (R.I.P) 8 months ago :grouphug: , me & Jen have both found it incredibly hard not having a dog around the place so have taken to "borrowing" my Mum & Dad's Yorkies for a bit of company (the quiet without a dog is deafening) but it's hard to give them back as we both love animals. We'd both decided that when the time was right we'd probably look for a new dog and thought that giving a rescue dog another chance in life was the most fairest option to take. For months off & on i've kept an eye on the relative forums etc without much luck (as we wanted another Jack similar to Trixie) but i was a firm believer in the right dog would find us when the time was right.

Anyways, last week Jen got a call from our local vet who had treated Trick in her final years to say somebody had come in with a Jack that needed rehoming so they gave her a call. Friday night we went to check the little fella out, and after a good sit down and think about it decided he was for us! So Sunday we went round and collected him from his mum & sister's to start his new life with us! :groupjump:

without further ado, i'd like to introduce our newest addition to the family......
