I am selling my fathers' Porsche 911 Carrera 2 which we bought for him in November 2006. I don't have all the information to hand but can easily get it. A few details that spring to mind:- Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (1990) Black RS brake ducts and suspension, there was a new clutch fitted approx 5000 miles ago I think he had very recently (last few months) had new pads fitted Mileage - I think around 100k - need to confirm. 3600cc The car is in Northern Ireland but is English registered. Previous owner was a real enthusiast and no expense was spared on it. My Dad hardly drove it in last few months due to his deteriorating health but I know he did everything required in the 8 months that he owned it. The last time I was in it with him (in May) there was a slight problem with pax window not working - I think that it had come off the rails or something but it was not a major problem. Other than that it drives beautifully. Previous owner gave Dad a HUGE folder with car history so its all in order. Also I know that he had a "Turbo" spoiler which he took of his previous Porsche 1992 "Celebration" model (this is spare and is also for sale). So if you know anyone that might be interested let me know....I think offers around 13K. Thanks, John

It is :) I drove it for the first time 2 weeks ago (he wouldn't let me drive it!) and it is lovely. So smooth when compared to the VXT. He looked after it so well and as I said the previous owner was a real enthusiast and so it was very well looked after. It felt very strange driving my Dad's car and now it feels very strange trying to sell it again as I sourced it for him last year when he was diagnosed terminally ill :( :( :(

We just want it to go to a good home..... :)

Nice motor John, :) Really sorry to hear about your Dad too, :( my Dad died in December 2006 a week before Christmas. He had a BMW company car that he loved and it was really hard watching them take it away. :( Good luck with the sale mate.

John It looks like a stunning example, if it was in the UK I would certainly be interested as I am looking for one as a present for my dad Sean

Cheers mate. Yeah - I just posted it on Pistonheads .....what's really hard is that it was me that saw the advert on PH in the first place and now its back on there (looking the same) it reminds of all the pain in the last few months....

We bought him the car to have something to focus on (rather than his illness) and it gave him soo much enjoyment. We just want someone else to have the same enjoyment out of it. I had never driven a 911 before and they really are lovely cars....for a moment I was tempted to do a straight swap for the VXT and sell it instead...but driving my Dad's car would be just too weird :(
