Hi Guys

These must be the Christmas presents you've been waiting for. I was offered these plates and bought them on the spot. :D With the new style prefixs coming out these must the the last of this series plates left. I'm offering them to the forum first and I'm just trying to cover the costs of the plates plus afford a performance exhaust for my Vixen. Any that are left will be offered to Vauxhall garages in the summer at a greatly inflated premium.

M8D VX
M8X VX
B8D VX

Both the M plates are £695 and the B plate is £795 (plus the £25 sign over fee)

Enjoy :jump:

ddavez, doesn't seem to be much interest, but then IMO they are over priced. I think if you bring them down to the normal level for an average plate they will sell a lot quicker. cheers Gerry

Hi Gerrym cheers for the input. The ad has only been running 6 hours. Give the boys a chance :( . The plates cannot be the standard price as I've already bought them for more than that. A plates worth what someone pays and as the add says there will be no more of these old style plates coming ! Last month someone wanted £1000 for H8T VX on this forum. That spells hat VX in my book ;) , so I don't think they're too bad. If no one wants them on the forum that's OK come the summer I'll mail shot the Vauxhall garages and put them at £900 o.n.o

Just cos he wants £1K, it doesn't mean it's worth that....

I totally agree. But I still don't think they're mega expensive. As I've already said, (and as you're already aware with your own plate) there will be no more of these plates. I'm not making brewsters out of these, I've been up front at what I'm making and what I'm going to do in the summer. I'm just giving you guys first pop. I just think the plates I've got actually look like the words they're supposed to spell and would look mega on a vx. If someone likes and wants them they're worth twice as much, if no one wants them they're worthless. Thats the risk with plates :D

Umm........B4D VX sold on the 22nd April!

M4D VX sold before that too...

Also, 'B' plates are £399, not £250.

Before I bought the plates I checked everything like you guys did and as all the replys have shown there are no more, and as B4D VX has said the b plates were £399 straight from the DVLA. They are not cheap, but not expensive (IMO). If you work it out I've got about £100 mark up in each plate to finance my performance exhaust. I can't believe I'm getting so much jip for trying to offer everyone on the forum what are IMO great plates at right money, no tactically placed screw caps or weird type font needed. :( And on top of this whoever buys them will increase the saleability (and maybe value) of their car straight away. If you want them they're here, if not fair play I'll mail shot all the VX garages in the summer as stated earlier. Give me a break guys :(

I think you've had a harsh ride on this one DDavez - for what reason I don't know. You try to offer to an excellent club first and get your head bitten off. Thank you for the offer and I hope the reaction you've received hasn't put off others who may wish to participate. Personal plates (IMO :flame: ) are for poseurs. If I had a different opinion, I would definitely be up for one.
