Had the phase one fitted today and boy am i pleased with it The car has been transformed fast fast, responsive and now feels like it should of from day one..... Was nearly put off by some of the bullshit on this forum but am so glad i went through with it... You rarely here much positive about regal!! So read this The service was second to none very professional believe me the main man Chris knows his stuff and was very helpfull and honest... The garage was clean and very busy with some very fast quality cars being worked on Ive been into the jap tuning scene for years so i also know my stuff... And im very impressed.....................Gary

no one seems to try the regal stuff due to the reasons you said and due to the way this forum is ran/owned.

Turbot or NA? TBH a stage 1 (from anybody) on an NA isn't exactly an 'earth shattering' improvement, the main advantage is the higher rev limit. As for Regal being slagged off on this site?......far far less than on other Vaux related sites i've seen

Turbo........as in all these forums you generaly hear the horror stories..... back in the days of the 205....i took a gamble with another so called underdog, everyone was slagging this poor guy off.....to cut along story short he had a engine go bang on a rolling road, the car made amazing power but went bang.... Luckily for him there was no internet forums!! But word spread around... the guy didnt know what he was doing ect ect I got the mark 2 of this conversion and won the 8 valve normaly aspirated class at santa pod on my first go !! (14.1 sec back then was good) I had the 205 for 7 years went to over 50 maybe more track days and thrashed it all the time it was truly "bullet proof" The guys that push and push are the guys that get results.....and yes some times it all goes wrong What i see is this is the area that needs improvement, if you use a customers car as a development car as most of the top tuners do......you should get top customer service when things go wrong...... A Hard one to police and bloody expensive but a good garage will come to some sort of arrangment..... just my 2 pence worth

Lol its a phase one!! As long as you warm them up, cool them down Change the oil/filter......... Its very basic to keep even a highly tuned car reliable.... Some of you vx guys need too open your eyes Jap car tuning is mad........but surprisingly reliable.... Your vauxhall lump is no different to say a mr2 turbo check out the power of some of those

I was looking into the Z22 turbo conversion for a while, but got lots of negative feedback about Regal (we'', they were usually refered to as Lager!)

Unfortunately their own customer service lets them down sooooo much - I contacted them about three times by phone and a few times by email to try and get more information from them...
...eventually they sent me a pic of the conversion (with no further info, parts lists or labour break-down as requested) and the picture just showed the intake side of the engine, so no indication of turbo position/manifold or intercooler - just the Dbilas intake...
...I gave up at that point

the products lager sell are "tollerable" as they are generally from dilbert or other geman sources who have TuV approval and all that pallava. But its the service/knowledge (or lack of) and cost that sinks lagers case. glad you are happy though as its a rare thing... but i think thats mainly due to some customers goign to these bolt-on places with ideas of much grandure having read mis-informed magazines etc and are hacked off when the pub bhp isnt deliverd.
