OK so its about that time in the year again when the old which footy game is the best question pops up as the two favs release new versions: Fifa 08 PES2008 I have pre ordered Fifa (which hopefully arrive today as i got a txt yesterday saying it had been posted) In the past Pro evo has always played better (harder to score and more satisfying when you do) but based on last years releases I have to say I prefered Fifa. (this years fifa is supposed to be much harder to score) im looking forward to playing as an individual player alongside 4 of my mates online. I think this aspect of Fifa will be fun as long as they pull it off well (and when it arives in patch form, around november I believe) I do like the playing as your chosen team when they play and totaling up all the victories and losses of all the matches to reflect in a virtual league table. Just wondered what everyones thoughts were on this? Which one ae you going to buy? both? (I will prob end up getting both lol)

not sure about which one tbh as they both have good and bad points but i am sure that Sensible Soccer will be the one to play when it gets here on Live Arcade (before xmas hopefully!)

PES2008 for me definitely i've got a demo of the new fifa at the moment where you get to play one match, with a variety of different teams. i find fifa too slow and don't think it flows as well as pro evo. this time it is definitely harder to score goals but that doesn't mean it's now a brilliant game. I actually pre-ordered pro evo last night and have been playing the old PS2 version of pro evo 6 rather than the fifa demo i have as i prefer it. this is all on a PS3 by the way, not sure if there are any differences between that and xbox

I've always been a FIFA man. I've played the 2008 demo and it's very good - graphics and animation improved. Apparently the code's been re written from the ground up with much more improved AI. The game feels less arcadey... My work mate is the UK No.1 at Pro Evo - he keeps on harping on about how its a deeper game so I tried the new demo of that. Found the graphics and animation to be quite inferior to FIFA. The controls are a lot harder to master - I'm sure that if I spent the time it would be a more rewarding and technical game but I can't be arsed to learn all those commands... Added to the fact that it doesn't have the licenses as per FIFA means I'm wont be a convert to PES... PS. Obviously I'll be snapping up Sensi Soccer - can't wait for some post match retro sessions..

Well its arived!!!!! just played 3 quick games (as im supposed to be working from home ) on the quick play I have to say I love it so far, feels a lot more realistic and the AI is lots better, not perfect but much better than 07 for sure. the only glitch i have noticed so far is that the computer has had 3 free kicks and scored 3 lol the games felt much more tense and rewarding. cant wait to try out later. if anyone wants a game (im rubbish by the way) then feel free to add me (Vespy) (on the xbox360) dam all these games to play, halo3, forza2, fifa08, tiger woods 08 and soon to be pgr4
