I see this if from a couple years ago but where do you get your seats re-trimmed?Have just been given a quote for a full retrim of a standard pair of VX220 N/A seats in cloth (black with red centre panels to match the car), complete re-padding, harness cut-outs etc. Came in at £600 including all materials and labour, which is still loads less than replacement / upgraded seats. Is this a good price? Are there any good retrimming companies in the SW?

One of the most common thesedays has to be Dave the Trimmer. Do a search for that or DTT on here and you'll see loads of examples and plenty of happy customers. Not as cheap as it all was 6 years ago though!

I use to work with Dave years ago. His work is amazing, and he is passionate and loves what he does.

Been speaking to a company local to me who done some elise seats earlier in the year. Seemed to think roughly £600 for both seats in full leather. Does work for my local tvr garage and is fully booked until March next year.
I was pleasantly surprised how many places can do it, just a case of finding one that your happy with.

£600 sounds very expensive to me, i'd want someone like plush automotive, or d:class trimming them for that price. Most local places near me charge from £200 - 400 for two vx seats, depending on reputation and quality.

I had the cloth sides re-trimmed in top grade grey vinyl as the cloth on the drivers side had worn thru, paid £90 for both seats, four bolsters, even dinky blue stitching. So you can see that your quote seems reasonable to me for the amount of work needed.
As mentioned elsewhere on the thread, you will be amazed at the number of coachtrimmers around. I used www.beseated.ltd.uk in Portsmouth. Quick turn round too. Give them a ring, they know VX seats now so should be able to give a ball park figure over the phone. I was only there last week.

try aviation interiors there over your way. Frogman and tadpole (both vxers) used to do a lot of vx stuff.

Had mine done by Dave the Trimmer.
Needless to say I'm very happy with them.
