:)

did mine yesterday after two years thumbsdown :( :( bad of me i know was so black i couldnt believe it
did wash it in mild soap ,rinse it ,dry it gently with crazyfrogs daughter hair dryer and put it back
perfect didnt use no oil what so ever thats what viper told me to do over the phone two years ago :)
dont forget to removed the bottom part of the viper and you can gently pull the filter

There's a thread here about it: http://www.vx220.org...topic=34846&hl=

Fab, I'd have thought you'd want some dust retention oil in there

You can get it in halfords, probably not the pipercross stuff but the certainly sell dust retention oil.

Or you can get the branded stuff elsewhere

Washing up liquid and warm water, air dry and then re-oiling according to the instructions.

Thanks :) Will have to give ITG a ring as to oil as the previous owner hasn't given me any instructions for it

Cleaned mine, nothing much in it, just slightly dark coloured for 10secs. I have only done 5K miles in the last 3.5yrs, guess Plans cleaned it out at last service. N1k your Viper does not look like it is installed correctly the inlet should be down by the air intake not in the engine bay??

I hope not, TMS Fitted it! The pipe is actually cable tied onto the mesh of the side intake.

Any pics of how yours is fitted mate? :)
