I have a vx 220 Lightning Yellow First reg.Jan 2002. The drivers side Headlight has a coule of scratches on from the Previos owner. Is it possible to get Carbon Fibre Covers or replace the glass? Its also not seated properly is it easy to re align it? Thank you Graham B

Carbon fibre headlight covers  How would the light shine through

Anyhoo, the covers can be removed, requires a heat gun and plenty of patience, the lens can then be stuck back in place with something like Tigerseal (ebay etc).
The lenses cant be bought seperately :(

Munchers thread over on detailing world shows how a lens can be polished

 You want to replace the glass lens on the headlights with CF? Is your car a dedicated track car that you trailor to the tracks?

If you just want to protect the lens then try Paintshield. They supply a heavy duty version of their film specifically for the headlamps on a VX as an extra to their kits. It covers nearly all of the lens area. No idea what they cost but I have had them on mine for nearly 18months 15k miles. No marks in the film or on the headlamps in the time they have been on. IMHO well worth the investment bearing in mind the cost of a new headlamp.
