Has anybody cut open a standad VX silencer?
Was thinking, as the Vauxhall SE doesn't increase BHP (So i'm told) how different are the internals of the 2 zorsts? Would a mod to the standad one give similar (better) noise. It can't be to hard for someone whoes trick at welding i would thought.
Is this a cost effective idea?
cheers .

The Vauxhall Sports Exhaust is not the same design.
The silencer box is no where near the size of the standard one.
I think the original VX sprint had it's standard box internals ripped out so thorney might be able to tell you what it was like.

I wish someone would come up with a good Idear what to do with the standard exhausts..... I've got two new ones sitting in the garage doing nothing.

Both the Sprints had the baffles drilled out of the back box. Sounds nice but is bloody loud and quite unpleasant on the motorway (ie earplugs needed)
