Am interested in cooling engine temps and would like to ask if anyone knows where deeper side vents could be purchased or even exist, so instead of them sticking out of side of car by 2 inches ...more like 4 so twice the air volume. Also is my logic in this thinking correct or is there a negative aspect...thanks in advance Peter

I don't think there are any available - there are some 'extension' type pod that fit to the sill, underneath the originals tho

Widening them will increase drag, and the air closer to the car may be more dense anyway

Peter, one German company manufactures a lower 'extension' pod. Do a search for Colin Blower and Geoff Lowe, both extensively cut the clam for cooling.

im looking into doing sumthing with my drivers vent at the mo (amongst other things  ) either adding a section of vent on the bottom as above or making it open a bit more but that may be trickier to get looking nice as i would have to remove the grille

I wasn't sure I'd like that but in the photo I think it looks better than standard... Always thought the tubby ear looked like a bit of an afterthought and preferred the NA's more minimal look. That lower vent makes the whole thing look a lot more integral. Won't be cutting my sills up though :) thumbsup

looks like someone has stolen part of an exige and just stuck em on thumbsdown doesn't go with the more straight/angled shape of the VX IMO.
