I will be using black diamond discs again because they are very good but in the area of the disc that does make contact the pads goes rusty. I wish to cover the area with a plate or something to hide the rust. Hope not to use paint. Anyone got ideas?

Just give them a good scrub although what I was told by Scared Stiff was to use a thin layer of any type of grease on the areas not in contact. This prevents any rust.
