Has anyone run a Viper or similar cone filter through the summer yet, and if so, what sort of effect have you seen?
The reason I ask is because of the relative lack of heat shielding compared to something like a carbon airbox (a la ITG). A housemate of mine at uni had a Pipercross filter on his Zetec-S, and felt that it was notably down on power in the summer because the filter gets all the heat from the engine, so heats the air up as it goes through.
