Does anyone make poly bushes for the vx? Nitron make them for the elise ( as I believe do others ). I have sent them an e mail asking if they fit. I will post the reply. In the meantime does anyone else know anything? Seems to me this would be a good and relatively cheap mod for those that do a lot of trackdays

I'm kinda hesitant about poly bushes....it might transform the ride into an excessively harsh experience.....heard that from lizzie owners already.... ...but...bring'em on!! :P

I think the front elise bushes will fit no problem as the VX is an S2 Elise. Not so sure about the back. Outside diameter is exactly the same but you'll need to check the bush length. Only one bush is longer which is on the lower rear wishbone. This requires two smaller bushes that together form the correct length. Having spoken to Elise-parts they do appear the same. I have pondered with replacing the rubber bushes with nylatron but on advice I'll stay with the standard rubber ones. Scared stiff don't recommend fitting them as the can and often create stiction problems. Nitron sell them but have no experience of fitting them. The ride will be harsher with the nylatron bushes. If the car is mainly for track use then a better option is to get bearing inserts fitted into you wishbones. Guy at Nitron would be prepared to fit these for you. This is as close as you will get to rose jointed suspension. The Colin Blower race car originally was going to be equiped with this type of suspension until a rule change allowed non standard wishbones. Lotus owners can't agree on which of the two types of nylon bushes are better. As I decided that the car was going to be used predominantly for road use nylon or bearing inserts aren't worth the time or trouble. Hope this helps.
