Just a thought.... As several of us seem to be trying to book for a Track Day at the last minute, after we find out that other VX's will be attending. Why don't we have a yearly Track day Forum Calender or just a list of VX booked Track Days in the year. The list could be an on going list (like the National event list) but with each Circuit listed alphabetically with dates & organiser details. We could then just add our name (I still don't know most of you guys by your first name) & Forum names to the list each time we books an event. At least everyone can open it and see who is attending with plenty of time to allow others to book too? Or do we have persons on this site who could put together something more professional, but yet can be updated by all of us easily?....such as a link to an external web page, just with VX track days? Max

Personally I think it's a good idea thumbsup Would be nice to keep it on the forum if we can though.. Couple of ideas: 1 - We could either try and use the existing calendar or get a new track only one added 2 - Run a (locked) sticky at the top of this page with all current live dates and attendees. People email a mod with details of new dates, new bookings etc and the mods keep it updaetd for us - I suspect we might need a dedicated "track-day forum" moderator to keep on top of that though 3 - Get a new sub-forum in here which is kept strictly to a list of dates and attendees - i.e. Each thread title is Date and venue, posts only contain details of TDO, price etc and a list of atendees (and are moderated to keep them that way) What do people reckon? Feedback / alternative suggestions appreciated Personally I suspect 2 or 3 would be easier to sort (and could be done quickly) - not sure there's much to pick between them.

I definately think it would be a great for both the regular trackers as well as the occasional tracker who may want to book a date & circuit which other fellow VX's will be attending. thumbsup

Sounds good and I agree with Mr_M's suggestions: Ideally we should have a new trackday calendar which should be kept on this forum. If not then Item 3 is probably the best bet with members able add dates etc rather than have the mods do it all but it should be moderated to ensure content remains relevant. chinky chinky PS Where track day places are limited supercharged cars should have priority. Just a thought!

PS Where track day places are limited cars which make a loud whiney noise should let others go first. Just a thought!

Chaps - sorry to interrupt. You could try something like Google Calendar which has all the functionality to allow it be shared, and for arranging group events. Take a look at the tour thumbsup

LOL, I was just looking and gonna suggest it, as i share a 'trackday and events' calendar with a mate of mine. Works really well, but you need to add the email addresses of all the people you want to be able to edit it.

there is already a calendar at the top right however its filled with the chase... could maybe do with one just for trackdays?? it would be a little messy trying to list them in a thread. a calendar is more visual like a planner rather than just a load of text..

I don't think whoever created the Chase listings realises that you only need to put something in the calendar every 11 days for it to show up at the bottom of the forum index. That area features an event on an ongoing basis, as long it occurs within the next 12 days (as stated). Perhaps you could contact them and ask them to revise, so as to free up some space.
