Yeah, give it a good smack! Mine was exactly the same as yours, all was OK, then it stopped, went again once and then stopped. I could hear the relay clicking - apparently wiper motors do get stuck occasionally and you need to 'encourage' them i.e

Hi,
Not sure what to advise. If the motor was prevented from turning I would expect the fuse to blow.
If the fuse hasn't gone, then the next step is to remove the mechanism (photo attached). It could be that the motor has put all it's effort into locking up the worm-and-pinion drive or the linkage. If this is the case, then a dis-assemble of the unit will sort this out. You basically need to see if the motor runs ok without the wiper drive link in place, so removal is probably essential to progress this. If it don't run, then check that you are getting 12 volts at the motor.

Thanks Steve,
I'll look at it this evening if I can.
Is it hard to remove the motor? I quickly looked at it earlier- under the plastic shield right?

That's exactly what I meant Steve when I said apply the Birmingham Screwdriver - obviously I meant an electrical one

Result! Glad it's working Alphabonobo!
In six months time I expect to see a post from you titled 'I hammered fcuk out of my wiper motor, where can I get a new one?' - don't worry cos I'll be organising a group buy of them!!
