:angry2: :angry2: got up early this morning went to deliver some flowers to my mother in law as she hasn't been well. I parked far behind a blue peugeot by a good four foot, and went to deliver the flowers. Was sitting drinking coffee with my mother-in-law, and saw her reverse, hitting my car, but before I could get out of the flat to accost her she had driven off. Went to the police but had only memorised three-quarters of her number plate, as I was always do when I park behind someone's car. Am going to ring my insurance company today (RAC) - whats your advice? The car is driveable, all lights work, but am bl**dy f***ing p*ss*d as people don't give a t*ss any more.
i am not in a mood today to work and was supposed to take the car to celebrate bastille day in france tomorow
will have to take the peugeot maybe :angry2: :angry2:
the dammage are not too bad and you can see the back bumper mark

Commit bloody murder!!! Seriously tho, theres a good chance that she will return to the scene of the crime as part of her daily routine, get your mum to keep an eye out for the car so you can complete the reg, the silly bint might not have noticed she hit you, i mean vx's fold at the slightest touch!

Go and knock on all the doors asking if a girl in a blue peugeot lives there or was visiting this morning because she left a bag by the car or something similar, you might be lucky and find her thumbsup

Bad news :( As above, I would have been asking around the neighbours to see who she was visiting before contacting the insurance co.....

Give the Police the part reg number, the make and model of the car and the colour. They can search the PNC with that info and will get numerous results. If not too many come up they will see if any are local or even live in that street. If loads come up you will need more of the reg. If they say they cant do this then it means they either dont have time or cant be bothered. If thats the case, ask to speak to an inspector. Best idea is to knock on all doors like already said. Best of luck to you, if she is found make sure she gets done for leaving the scene of an accident. Looking at the crack in your clam, Im sure that must have made a loud cracking noise, maybe another neighbour saw it too?

shame we have to put up with such dishonest people she doesn't live round there does she or visit that area often? might be worth asking the neighbours as someone said. if it's not too far away drive round there if you can now and then and see if her car's there any witnesses in case you find her and she contests? mother-in-law see what happened?

Oh, no Fab. Your lovely stone chip free new clam!! :( You don't have much luck with the front of your car do you??? Us humans are creatures of habit. Most people have pretty regular routines and she will probably return to the scene of her crime very soon. Employ the mother-in-law as a private detective. You will find her....!

Fabrice this is awful. I really hope you get this sorted quickly and less hassle than my claim. I'd also not recommend you contacting Europa, but I'm sure others would have a different opinion.

What has our police force come to, rant How can they expect people to remember anything if they knock on doors two weeks later?

Whats the point in getting them involved anymore?

Absolutley useless

Gutted to hear this Fab. I'd go nuts if anyone had hit my old VX (or the new one I'm about to buy!!) Carry on with what you are doing at the moment. Get your friend to look on the Database (as mentioned, even a partial plate is enougth as long as you know the colour, make and Model, as wll as a general area of ownership to match it to!) and get you in-laws to keep an eye out. Hope you get it sorted mate Just chill out, open a bottle of Red and chinky chinky
