europa won't help you unless the other party admits liability straight away i'm afraid.

that isnt my case and they've started to help me...

So who pays europa's bill if she and her insurance company don't admit liability?

You may be asked by Europa to tell your own insurance company about the accident but at this stage you are not planning on claiming!!!

But your insurance company won't pay the bill either.

in my case, accident exchange take out an insurance policy to cover the cost of the hire car if they cannot claim off the 3rd party. At £230 A DAY it aint cheap!!!!

I've always assumed this is in the t&c; if we can't claim on the other parties insurance, you'll be liable for the fees. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of the bill from a company like europa, esp if it includes 'like for like' hire car charges.

Europa, to date, have never pursued anyone other than the third party insurers for their costs.

So they are now at least admitting that this girl hit you!? They will prob take it to the wire but sort it just before it goes to court. They are just trying to get away from paying the big bucks for the rest of the hefty repair bill. Good luck, for the grey hair, theres always 'just for men' ;)

:angry2: :angry2: got up early this morning went to deliver some flowers to my mother in law as she hasn't been well. I parked far behind a blue peugeot by a good four foot, and went to deliver the flowers. Was sitting drinking coffee with my mother-in-law, and saw her reverse, hitting my car, but before I could get out of the flat to accost her she had driven off. Went to the police but had only memorised three-quarters of her number plate, as I was always do when I park behind someone's car. Am going to ring my insurance company today (RAC) - whats your advice? The car is driveable, all lights work, but am bl**dy f***ing p*ss*d as people don't give a t*ss any more.
i am not in a mood today to work and was supposed to take the car to celebrate bastille day in france tomorow
will have to take the peugeot maybe :angry2: :angry2:
the dammage are not too bad and you can see the back bumper mark

absoloutely gutted for you, how did she not see you???

i run around in a cheap vw passat during the day hopefully reduces the chance of this sort of thing happening to me!

let us all know how it goes with insurance / finding her etc

Can the police not charge her with failure to report the accident within 24 hrs, surely paint analysis would prove this!

'The driver of a motor vehicle who has been involved in an accident and failed to stop and exchange particulars, has a duty to report the accident to the police within 24 hours. This 24 hour period begins from the time of the alleged incident.'
