Unfortunately I missed out on Madarin's undertray clip group buy so decided to go and have a look on the internet to get some of my own. What has become clear is that the U-Clips are available in loads of different sizes. I know some people found the clips on the original group buy a little tight on the diffuser fixings.

Would anyone be able to get the following dimensions of the clip for me please, ideally an OEM clip?

Posted Image

L - Length
W - Width
P - Thickness
C - Distance to centre

Also would any others be interested in a group buy? I would be looking to get Stainless Steel clips so the centre doesn't corrode causing the clip to break down.

Thanks

Adam

FYI - We found that the Tubby ones needed to be larger than the NA ones.

Cheers for the reply. I was aware of the Elise Parts clips and feel a bit loathed to pay the best part of £10 for replacement clips when hopefully they should cost a few quid. Also ideally I'm after stainless Steel. thumbsup

I think after all the messing about with buying separately, £10 is probably worth it... But if you find stainless clips I'd be very interested. I don't want to replace all my clips only for them to rust again after a few years.

Only other thing I can suggest is to use aluminium nutcerts(or rivnuts - whatever you call them) on the undertray. I'd just be a little worried about how they cope with being bolted + unbolted a lot - they tend to be made out of quite soft ally.

Ideally I would be looking for a Stainless steel set so they don't corrode and breakdown. I just need dimensions of the OEM clip. I would get it from my car but it's tucked up in my folks garage at the moment getting a bit of an Overhaul!! Adam

Not sure on the dimensions I'm afraid or stainless alternatives but when I went to Vaux to get some and found out the price I had a quick look at the parts catalogue and got some used for holding the grille in place on the latest shape vectra, they are exactly the same size except the top front corner is rounded. Think they were 23p each. Depending on the cost of stainless ones it might be worth just buying these and replacing regulary. Ren
