I'm hoping this is a relatively simple one but there doesn't appear to be a How To guide anywhere. So far without even having approached the car I imagine it would go something like this : 1. Jack up drivers side 2. Remove rear offside wheel 3. Remove wheel arch liner Anyone care to complete?

4. Insert ratchet into square hole on tensioner arm 5. move arm to loosen belt and remove. 6. refit new belt

Of course I didn't study this closely enough at the time.

Removed tensioner completely and then had to work out how to refit it. After that the purpose of the square hole in the tensioner made sense and finishing the job was a complete POP.

Then we really got bold and attacked the air box. Delved around and found the outboard mount had been taped together by some lazy arsed grease monkey. So took the opportunity to strip and clean the unit, modded the box with an extra hole. Sliced a chunk off the old internal trumpet and fitted that in the new hole. Now all I need to do is buy a new rubber mounting bracket and work out how to glue the new trumpet in and I can be the noisiest one in the car park again.

silicone sealent would probably be ideal for gluing the trumpet in the box

Is it as easy to change the Alternator? Anyone know where I can get a new Bosch 0124425015 120Amp one?

The belt is a 5pk880, eurocarparts sold me a 5pk1030 and I've just taken it off. Really don't want to put it back on, anyone know where I could get a 5pk880 belt from today?
