i spoke to regal last month about the posibility of a 6 speed box for the vx...... anybody interested?

Why on earth would you want a 6 speed? you telling me you want to change gears more often?.. isnt it bad enough that it only takes 2 seconds before you have to change out of first?...

The effect of a very close ratio 6 speed box on acceleration would be equivalent to adding 40-50 bhp. I thought about the Quaife 6-speed before deciding to upgrade to the Turbo. 6th gear in their box would be short for road use (it's similar to 4th in the standard box). The straight-cut gears would also be a bit noisy on the road - would sound great on the track though Steve, if they're able to find a Ultra C/R box with synchro and helical gears, I might be interested.
