106C here for NA too. Sat in traffic, desperately praying for the fan to kick in. It makes you nervous, doesn't it?Hi there,
I suspect that either the thermostat isn't working or the fan seized on my VX220 n/a. Can anyone tell me what temperature the fan should come on at? I've seen 105C when stuck in traffic, which seems a bit high, but I've no previous experience of the Vauxhall 2.2.
Ta much.

That's why our radiators blow up all the time..yeh about 97c! i got a bit concerned when i first saw mine just over the 100mark, so i had a quick flick through the manual, and it says dont be alarmed until 120c which seams crazy!?

NO. the reason they pop is because they are made from cheese, NOT due to the operating temps.
although saying that, spanking the arse off the car daily seems to have made the rad more hardy
