Web site seems a bit light on company details , by appearances it looks like a one bloke and a web page, one event. I would be wary to hand over CC details. How did you come across this company ?

My friend with the CSL on Mtorque use them, which is the only reason I know of them. Spoke to Dave Woodall yesterday before booking and no reason to think it is dodgy. Email reply to booking below; Good Morning Duncan. Many thanks for booking with www.opentrack.co.uk for our event at Snetterton on Monday 22nd Sepember Dave and Phil very much look forward to welcoming you to the day, where, don't forget, they will be FREE garages, FREE expert tuition - available 'first come, first serve' – and FREE professional photography (www.davewoodall.com), all for just £119. Well got up at 4.30 left the house at 5 and made good time to snetts, weather was really good until some light showers in the afternoon which were gone by late afternoon :) Was good to see Peter in his VXR and was not much between the cars on track - my brakes seemed to be quite weak compared to his AP 4 pot upgrade (time to review pads I think, no fade just not as stronge as they could be). Had a brill morning and watch Peters car spin behind me :D all ok and one of his friends driving. Was some seriously nice cars which both vx's did an excellent job of overtaking - the Ultima GTR was a different story - animal of a car!!!!!!! Then just before lunch car not running right, tracked down to a broken actuator :(:( spent the next 3hrs sorting the bloody thing but managed to bribe a garage workshopp to let me make one :D still need to set it up correctly but was fine for a final 30min session where I was informed after myself and Peter at the end of the start / finish straight were spitting out massive 3 foot flames :D:D:D hope to track some pics down, not long got home and looking forward to Mallory on Saturday. Was gutted my camera mount does not work in the vx so no video clips :(:(:( I was not timing but the guy in the next garage recorded me doing a 1min 18sec lap and dont recal pushing a full hard lap so quite happy with that. Was hitting 140+ on the big straight The was a lotus S1 with super charges Type R engine / slicks / cage etc that after a few laps cracked his rear carbon wing in half!!!! Was going VERY well.

Yes, agree with you a nice mix of cars! but the vx,s did themselves proud....good track as well, so you can stretch the vx,s legs and plenty of room for small mishaps, lol. We had a bit of video cam footage but now I think I need to get a decent set up as footage adds to the overall enjoyment...hope to meet up again...see if we can toast some cars with the flames, though nothing else booked for this year yet.

Yeah had more fun there this time than the last 2 times I went for some reasaon? (must be the car :D) main reason for this one was learning the car more and got a lot out of Snetts / plus free tuition - nice fast track and good run off - think pushing it more the 1min 15 barrier will fall ;) Next time :D Just got to set the actuator back up tomorrow for the weekend ;) Be good to see you at a track day Max, your seem to do a lot of track work in yours and sure you could give me a few pointers ;)

If your doing 1:18s i think you will be giving max pointers, and could you send some my way.The best i've ever had at snetterton was just into the 1:21s.

Far from it! I am a novice in the vx and although it seems the time is better than I thought the car has more to give on the bends and the brake setup could help shave a bit of time off.

Put it down to the lower ratio 6 speed box and turbo grunt! R888's help :D I am using all 6 gears at Snetts and the 6 spped box is very quick to work through the gears, maybe this is a big difference?

Be interesting to see how she does at a smaller track this Saturday (Mallory) - any times to give me an idea?

Sure Max has a lot more pointer for me than I have for him :D my 1st one is dont crash lol
