Its very simple.

I think people who say their hobby of shooting animals (whatever animal it may be) are

Stop patronising us all with your 'we live the Good Life existance and see the wonders of nature' blah blah. You know nothing about me or where I live or what interests I have.

I come from a family with a farming background.
My parents have a small holding down in Cornwall and they also enjoy living off the land, free range chickens, sheep, pigs etc. but they never get pleasure from the actual PARTAKING of the killing OF ANY ANIMAL. Not even a rat, squirrel, rabbit.

Enjoy your sarnie. Careful not to get egg on your face :D

Btw if you didn't want the flack of this subject then why mention it in the first place as a hobby??? You must of known it was a controversial subject chinky chinky

assuming at least the pigs in question here die in the end? by having their throats cut...

I have shot rabbits in my time as mentioned before in this thread. I didnt particularly care, no. It didnt leave me diturbed in anyway. We skinned then ate them. Then we dried the skins out and made toys for my dog. Will I go to hell?

thats life...

Scott.

This preoccupation with and unneccessary reference to violence that bears no relevance to the topic is certainly an indication some form of imbalance IMO.

I think the slashing of a pigs neck for food a tad less disturbing than reading about blowing someone's head off when they've just got out of bed thanks. where do you think the bacon comes from? the bacon factory? made out of baconettee's for your bacon pleasure, its a bloody dead pig thats just screamed an agonising death by having its throat cut. we're bloody animals too. wake up!

Mine comes from a plant/tree; as does that of other members of the 'fluffy bunny parade' - I'll let them speak for themselves.

HTH.

Can't be bothered to comment on some of the brain-washed tripe on this thread.

btw, it is entirely relevent to the topic. pigs die by having their throats cut. chickens are shocked to death etc. to think that there's some unviolent way in which the food reaches you in a plastic tray is just absurd. I don't think your experience in the field is at all relevant to humans sourcing food. If a fox kills a bird its 'just nature's way'

but somehow a chicken being killed for humans is a sick thought??

come on.
