Hi all, I'm doing my fisrt track day in my vx200 na soon and am looking at booking donington (its the only date i can get off work!). Just not sure to either book novice or intermediate????? I've done 3 track days before in my old car, a 400bhp evo IX. Ive been to bedford, brands, oulton park. Ive also done a few laps donny! In my evo i would of been more than happy to booked intermediate but in my new vx I'm a little worried, I've not had it long! I did own a another vx a few years ago so I am kinda used to the whole mid engined RWD thing but never been on a track in a vx!!!! I'm thinking novice would be good to get used to the car but i don't wanna get held up all day or get black flaged!! any help would be great! Cheers Craig thumbsup Ps my vx has: 161bhp, uprated pads, lines, discs, flywheels, remap, exhaust and geo set up so the cars more than ready... just the question am I lol !!!

im sure you will be fine, like you say driving a 400hp evo is different but the fact you have had a vx before and have done the right upgrades it would appear you would know what your doing HTH

Cheers but i did not do the upgrades, its coppa old car, i bought it coz it had all the bits i wanted lol. Any monkey could drive a evo quick. its really not hard. There so much control with them and when you get it wrong its a very forgiving car. I think i just go for it and book intermediate! whats the worst that can happen!!! thumbsup lol

chinky chinky Cheers

haha well at least your honest :) go for it mate like you say whats the worst that can happen. The VX is a more than qualified car to burn around a track in. I think you may surprise yourself

There no point lying. evo are great toys but I bought the vx to do more track days and because it was more of a drivers car with less computers etc so i could inprove my driving.

I'm booking it now then! i'll post videos!!

Cheers

Bike helmets are fine. You will only need a car helmet (with a fire proof lining) if you are racing.
