I'm not particularly interested in more power but the crappy bit of the curve between about 3200 and 4000 is really getting on my wick. I suspect that it has been caused by the need to get the engine through the emissions and noise regs. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who can sort this out for me? Someone reasonably close to Scotland would be nice Cheers Jim

hmmm....been thinking about this one a bit....do you have test results of you car? as it is at the moment? also the spec of your car....what is it? has your car been superchipped? as i have just had a look at the test results that i have and they show that with a superchip there is a big hike at around 3-4000 revs...... the regal software that i have has a very flat torque curve and a relatively straight bhp curve..... steve ps post as much info as you can...

The car is bog stock with standard everything. I don't know whether mine is unusal but the curves which are shown in the brochure (I know these are hardly the most accurate in the world  ) show a marked dip in the 3200-4000 range. IIRC the noise and emissions are measured around this point. It was apparent when it was new but (and this may just be me getting more picky about it) it seems to be more noticeable now. It feels like I am back on a two stroke. Like I say I'm not that bothered about more power, I just want this dip taken out of the curve. Any thoughts would be most welcome. Cheers Jim
