hi guys!! just spoke to chris at regal....they have just chipped and fitted a hybrid turbo to a vxt!! apparently it can run at 20psi!!!!! they have had problems testing the car on the rollers as above 10 psi the car starts to spin.....( not enough downforce) also they are looking at software changes to help cool the car further.... Chris when testing the car has said that the vxt is a little light at the front( same as the na vx..) I have told him that my vx with the lowered spax system does not have this problem.......I will try and have a ride in the vxt this weekend!

hi guys!! i am going to test drive the regal tuned vxt that is at picadors in southampton tomorrow.........apparently it has about 250bhp/300lbft of torque.....i shall see if i can use my ap22 to see what the o-60 times are like and possible the 30-70 and if allowed the 0-100 times..... for what i have heard peak power is at 5000rpm when the turbo is delivering 20 psi.....std turbo delivers 8 psi!!!!!! i am expecting 0-60 times of somewhere around 4s and possible 10s 0-100!! from my coversations with both graham at picador and chris at regal this car will soon be having a new exhaust and filter......supercats are going to be fitted too!! i think they will be looking at the brakes and suspension too.... me thinks that this car may well be upto +260bhp soon.....scarey huh!!!!!

Just a bit! :D :D

Anyone know if Regal are planning to offer more mods for the NA. From what I remember all the current mods together push the bhp figure close to 190 which doesn't in itself seem excessive for a 2.2 litre engine.

i have now driven the picador regal tuned vxt!! very very quick!! but then when you 250bhp/300lbft of torque what do you expect!!!!!much louder turbo sound/whistle and nice sound from the largs dump valve too .....very little lag...apparently the mods to turbo unit /software/labour is about 2000.....the turbo comes in progressively and peaks somewhere around 5000rpm... but i personally feel that if you are going to have this sort of power then you need to sort the brakes and suspension first!!! my car will outbrake the turbo by a long way and due to the suspension will also out handle the vxt..... wednesdays track day with thorney is going to be an interesting one..... :groupjump:
