Anyone got a list of the airfields mainly in the west of england & in wales that do airfield days? The only one ive found so far is colerne on the 23rd of feb, is thee anymore that anyone knows of at other airfield etc?

I was goning to say look up Motor sports events, they do have some venues in Wales, or at least they used to.

Great fun I really like that track, for an airfield it drives more like a circuit with good high speed sweepers. Motorsport-events are a good setup.

Cheers Techie, hadnt noticed that before, praps they dont do them there much?
100db at 4500rpm for most of the airfields tho...i dont remember it being quite so strict! Not sure if a will pass that 4500rpm is nearly redline

Our Track Day season is rapidly approaching and we are pleased to announce our 2009 calendar of events. We are excited to have added some more Saturday events at Colerne in 2009 as well as some new Saturday events at Keevil which provides a fantastic addition to our diary. We are also thrilled to be making one weekend visit to the popular Pembrey Circuit as well as three events at Castle Combe Circuit running our extremely popular open pit lane format.
Our airfield venues are the finest in the UK, all of which operate a 100dB(A) noise limit as does Castle Combe, however Pembrey operate with a 105dB(A) limit.
Abingdon Airfield (Oxfordshire) - superb airfield venue with a circuit like feel!
Hullavington (J17 of the M4, near Chippenham, Wiltshire) - massive airfield, great surface, superb mixture of corners. Includes free car control area - new for 2009!
Keevil Airfield (near Trowbridge, Wiltshire) - top quality airfield, huge run off space, exciting track layout.
Colerne Airfield (near Bath) - the finest airfield surface in the UK track day scene plays host to this challenging track.
