I've owned my griff for nigh on 2 years now and it has been fantastic throughout but as the human condition often does, I fancy a change.
My car is a rare model 98R, 49,000 mile Griff 500 HC in halcyon midas pearl(yellow/gold flip -only 25 produced in this colour) with full dolphin leather interior, late chassis with thicker i/d chassis rails, aluminium dash, alloy controls, heated seats, power steering and premium JBL stereo - all original from factory- not leven upgrades! Finding a car in this spec in both decent condition on the body as well as the chassis is hard work believe me! Thankfully i'm good friends with the lead tech from Austech TVR who helped me to find such a great griff.
Of course during my ownership it has been tweaked and optimised throughout. It has the following mods only for reliability reasons:
ACT de-pre catted and coned manifolds (removing cats cuts underbonnet heat dramatically)
ACT de-cat and downpipe
Austech Sports system (I keep telling myself this is only for reliability

ACT induction kit
Gaz coilovers and Austech Geo
Rose jointed rear anti roll bar drop links and poly bushes
Mangecor 8mm leads
Two new front tires, rears at 4mm
3/4 front plate
Upon my purchase my friend from Austech and I performed a comprehensive freshen up:
New camshaft (standard)
New dizzy cap + Arm
New rad
New oil pressure switch
New coolant hard pipes
New alternator
New starter
New battery
New front calipers + pads f+r
New o/s/f wishbone
New clutch master cylinder
New sump gasket
New oil pressure sender
Full waxoyl
And of course it also has a full service history with both TVR franchises and indy favourite - Austech TVR since my ownership.
I'm dont consider myself a perfectionist, but I do worry about things, and hence I changed all the items that were known Griffith weak spots. This tactic has obviously paid off as the car has been near flawless. It currently has a very minor power steering leak, for which I have the replacement hose, but is yet to be fitted.
The car is in incredibly good condition for its age, and suffers from very few blemishes on it's body, but still the ones that are there annoy me.
A 5mm stone chip on the front valance (from a goddamn gritter the other side of the road!!!!)
A small crack on the inside of the drivers door handle (poses no threat and is not even visible but still annoys me!)
I might also spray the mirrors as they have some small marks
It has also been diamondbrited since I took delivery.
Chassis also in great condition, last checked and oiled by Austech in december 08
Has also been commented by Austech as one of the 'quicker' ones
Tis obviously a bit noisy in it's current pre-cat spec, and frequently scares following drivers with footlong flames! Should you not want this kind of attention, I will be including the main cat section (you will also need this for MOT) which still gives a lovely sound but damps down the fireworks somewhat.
The car is also personally known by forum members 'Madfreebird' and 'Jamessh' who have both seen the top and underside of the car as well as madfreebird who has driven it, i'm sure they'll be happy to verify it's condition and quality to help you decide.
Hopefully that should be all the info required, but if I have[/img] forgotten something just let me know.
What I would like
A preferably standard VX220 Turbo of any age, in any colour but with hopefully less than 40k miles. I completely understand if your car has had mods to increase it's reliabilty or performance slightly, but I dont want a car that has been stretched too far or has silly body mods/stripes etc
Also this is not an invitation to pass off your problem vehicles, I have been appraising cars in the trade everyday for the last 9 years!
Please do give me a shout if you think you would be interested on 07793 824396
Heres the piccys!
