on its own, not much TBH they just aid flow into the inlet. might be a worth while mod for those running near 300bhp, but it still wont do a lot to give you a noticable difference. aimed more for those on bigger power engines, but wouldn't hurt anything to fit one. john

Dont waste your money guys, it a pig to fit as the mesh for the bootlid is so close to the tophat as standard there no room to add this & a silicone 90 bend. my one has a 8mm base & 10mm flange & i had loads of dramas fitting it (i had to roll the mesh abit too), you end up chopping so much off the hose it makes the lip of the flange pretrude into the bend of those hose!

Duncan, are you going to be making these to fit the VX?

I've just spoke to the guy who has the fleabay link up, and he can supply them with a fixed elbow on the flange rather than the straight take off, and they are between 1/4" & 1/2" taller than the standard tophat......

I did think about contacting the guy on AOC. Not the same size as the OEM pipe to the IC, so you need a reducer and some ali pipe. Or see if his hard pipe to the IC is the same ie the astra/VX part number is the same?

Have a search back as Duncan posted some pics - iirc is he going to get 10 knocked up. Replaces the top hat and the OEM pipe from IC.
