mine fits in fine, but can only open the door half way its a bit of a squeeze getting in and out but i'd rather have her garaged especially in this weather lol.

Screw a bit of carpet to the wall to protect the door and you'll be fine, then just pull the car out!
* don't put your fingers between the alloy and the caliper tho...

i have put a square of polystyrene on the wall which i somehow always manage to miss!...bugger.
I used to have this problem putting my Cossie in my garage!
Get the Vx in the garage exactly how you want it. Then get yourself a small rubber ball (like a squash ball or dogs ball) hang this from the ceiling of the garage with string. I used a small brass hook screwed into the plasterboard and hung the string on that. If you position it so that the ball just touches the windscreen, you'll get the car spot on everytime you pull into the garage to park it = no more chipped door edges!

who needs expensive parking sensors, this way costs about a quid

Similar to the dangling ball thing, I have a mark on the drivers side piece of cardboard that I line up with, this guarantees I don't reverse into the back wall
Nothing like having the entire world covered in snow and opening the garage door to a pristine VX
Don't have any space issues as I've got a double garage but have screwed a couple of lengths of wood to the floor of the garage (0.75"x1.5"). When the rear wheels in the case of the VX or the front wheels in the case of the Audi reach them, I'm perfectly parked to maximise space at the rear of the garage. Doesn't work so well if I park one car or the other on the "wrong" side of the garage.
